What is the West Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District?West Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District is a state-designated special district. Our mission is “To conserve, protect and develop soil and water resources; to help with the development of all natural resources in west county for the benefit of the people, wildlife and the environment.”West
Multnomah SWCD has a seven-member Board of Directors which includes
representatives of five
geographic zones, and two at-large Directors. Directors are elected by
the public on the general ballot, and serve without pay. The Board also
appoints Associate Directors to assist with projects. Our District
